Star Network - Needs Hub
The star networks routes all communication through a hub. If the hub is busy the data is stored in order and sent to the recipient. If the hub goes down, the system goes down.
Mesh Network - No Hub
In a mesh network there is no hub. Data is sent from to the recipient from tag to tag in random fashion, typically the closest tag enroute if it is not busy. If it is busy, the data will be sent through another tag. This ensures a foolproof method of communication that cannot go down inside the WLAN. 		Once a GlobaLink wireless local area network (WLAN) is in place at your property, a variety of commumication options will be available, such as locating staff or assests, text messaging, security features, and much more.

Unlike star wireless networks, the GlobaLink mesh does not have a central hub to sort and relay data. If a tag goes down for any reason, the signal will simply send the data through the closest available tag. If a star network hub goes down, the whole network goes down. This makes our random hopping network foolproof, and since each tag has its own power source, brownouts or lack of signal is never a concern.

Once your WLAN is enabled, any tag can be located, tracked, and communicated with in real time. Once the tag leaves the WLAN it can be tracked via satellite to its destination. The shipping tag is then reprogrammed for the next package.
