Example: A
RemoteLink
wireless network is set up at an oil rig. "Tags" are attached to relevant equipment, sensors,
and employees. An aerial map of the site is married up with several "pegs" (fixed tags),
creating a wireless local area network. An onsite computer can now monitor all assets within
the area.
Data Sharing: Once the data is uploaded into the local computer, information becomes available
at head office via cell or satellite signal, and thus at any internet connection globally.

Anyone with WLAN access can see a package in real time from their PDA or computer. Once the package
leaves the port, a link can be made via satellite. Once the package is delivered, the shipping tag
is removed and programmed for the next delivery.
