Once a decision has been made to install the MarinaLink™ system, the design team
will consult with the marina ownership group to determine the best implementation strategy.
Fixed 'tag' locations are determined, an aerial map or scaled property plan is developed that
will be used for locating assets and people. The ownership group will then invite select staff to
become fully trained in the set-up and operation of the program.

Although training manuals will be provided in both DVD and hard copy, a hands-on seminar will
be arranged to help visualize procedures. All set-up activity will take place through the
administrative module, AdLink. At this stage, PIN numbers are assigned to blocks of
'tags', which are consequently programmed for specific applications.
The 'tags' are earmarked for fixed and mobile units, equipment, security apparatus, and people.
Security levels and details are determined at this time for known use, or added when a specific
application or person is being assigned a unit, thus adding identifying details, such as
gender, maintenance requirements, etc.
'Tags' are color-coded for easy identification when viewing on the monitor, say red for yachts,
green for members, blue for staff, etc. A trial run will commence before the whole system is
set up in order to work out any bugs that may arise. Once this is complete, the system will be
fully implemented and activated.
