PrisonLink Admin Training Manual |
The purpose of the PrisonLink Admin Operations Manual is to train correction center
administrative staff to set up and use the PrisonLink Management Program.
Training will be provided once the decision has been made to implement this system.
|
It is important for administrators to be fully trained on PrisonLink software
so that they may setup and operate the program with minimal correspondence with us.
Once a decision has been made by a corrections institute to implement the PrisonLink
program, a software technician will visit your site to provide complete software training.
|
|
PrisonLink hardware will be installed at the same time as the software
is being loaded. Hardware may include tags, sensors, and the interface between
the tags and the operating system. Hardware will be installed by our team of
technicians, in conjunction with representatives of the corrections facility, so that
they will be fully aware of all hardware locations and operating parameters.
|
|
PrisonLink Help Files will be provided with the software. These files contain
searchable hints about all aspects of software and hardware operations.
|
|
PrisonLink tags are programmed for many functions. The tag is assigned to a
specific asset or person and all relevant information programmed into it. If a tag
is worn by an inmate, information programmed in would include their prisoner number,
cell number, security designation and more. Sensors are programmed to work
under specific parameters, producing readings and demographics when required.
|
|
PrisonLink tags come in several configurations and modules depending on their
function. Tags with LCD screens may not be required for sensor readings, for example,
and therefore will be provided in a housing to provide protection from the environment,
and an appropriate attachment configuration. Tags used to communicate between people
will have text and voice messaging capabilities. Some tags are fixed in one location
and are called 'pegs', while the mobile units are referred to as tags. The mobile units
may also come in a variety of housing designs, depending on application.
|
|
PrisonLink software applications are accessed through the administration panels
that are customized for you, our Client. Changes to the panel are updated by PrisonLink
as part of our Hosting Plan. Access to functions include staff, inmate, service and vendor management,
location and tracking options, and security links.
|
|
The PrisonLink database may be hosted on our secure servers. Hosting plans
will included ongoing updates, content management, and a variety of other
functions designed to minimize the effort you need to exert to manage your facility.
|
|
The Daily Calendar is used by staff as a work tool to give reminders of upcoming
events, communicate with administration, and a variety of other functions. The
Daily Calendar is the portal that shows up on the computer when staff members Login.
|
|
The PrisonLink database numbering system details the method of naming tags and
other items. This system is set up by the Client with input from PrisonLink.
Using specific naming conventions allows for easier recognition and remembering of tags
based upon their use.
